The details for method of usage/overuse calculation for additive and non-additive resources are provided below:

Additive resource
Overuse = (amount_used - (amount_included + amount_additional) * Duration_Percent) * Overuse_Fee
Additive=Yes parameter should be mostly used for resources like traffic, with huge included value and increasing amount which is lower then included.
Additive=Yes does not fit the resources where the Used Amount = Included Amount through the whole billing period. When resource is additive then included value is spread through the whole billing period. Following this calculation, if you set additive resource usage to 1 and kept its usage for 1 day – it will be overused. Non-additive resource would be overused if you set its usage for more than included value and kept it for any period of time.

Overuse = (average_amount_used - (amount_included + amount_additional) ) * Duration_Percent * Overuse_Fee;
where average_amount_used is calculated as the sum of resource usage on each particular day of month divided by the number of day in month:
(Usage on 1st day of month + Usage on 2nd day of month + ... + Usage on last day of month) / Number of days in month.
Important: Resource usage (even for Operations resources) will not be reset if a subscription was created from a service plan based on non-PEMGATE service template. For all subscriptions that are based on non-PEMGATE templates it is impossible to reset resource usage.
