Composite resource is basically a combination of several general resources. Composite resources can be used both in reseller plan and in ordinary plan for customers. Composite resource of customer plan is used to make service offer customer-oriented: instead of forcing customer to choose the number of mailboxes and disk space for them as two separate resources, you can combine them into a single composite resource with single set of pricing and limits. Thus composite resource of customer plan is frequently comprised of simple resource of different nature.
A composite resource may comprise resources provisioned through different gates. For example, mailbox provisioned through the PEMGATE service gate and Blackberry provisioned through the DUMMYGATE service gate. In this case, Billing send provisioning requests to respective gate during order processing.
Composite resource should be non-measurable itself and group non-measurable simple resources.
