Changing IP Type for Webspace HTTP and FTP Protocols

To change the default webspace IP type for the HTTP protocol, perform these steps:

  1. Go to Websites. Click on the required website name in the list. Website dashboard opens. Click Web Hosting Settings..
  2. On the General tab, click Edit.
  3. In the IP Address type, choose the IP address new type. Note, that the scope of the IP address types is defined by your subscription.

    • Shared IPv4. The webspace will have a shared IPv4 address.
    • Exclusive IPv4. The webspace will have only one address – exclusive IPv4 address.
    • Exclusive IPv4 and IPv6. The webspace will have both IP addresses – exclusive IPv4 and exclusive IPv6 addresses.
    • Exclusive IPv6. The webspace will have only one address – exclusive IPv6 address.
    • Shared IPv4 and exclusive IPv6. The webspaces will have a shared IPv4 address and an exclusive IPv6 address.
  4. Click Submit to save the changes.

To set or change IP type for the FTP protocol, perform these steps:

  1. Go to Websites. Click on the required website name in the list. Website dashboard opens. Click Web Hosting Settings. At the opened page click FTP Access.
  2. On the General tab, click Edit.
  3. From the IP Address type drop-down menu, choose the IP address new type. Note, that the scope of the IP address types is defined by your subscription.

    • Shared IPv4. The webspace will have a shared IPv4 address.
    • Exclusive IPv4. The webspace will have only one address – exclusive IPv4 address.
    • Exclusive IPv4 and IPv6. The webspace will have both IP addresses – exclusive IPv4 and exclusive IPv6 addresses.
    • Exclusive IPv6. The webspace will have only one address – exclusive IPv6 address.
    • Shared IPv4 and exclusive IPv6. The webspaces will have a shared IPv4 address and an exclusive IPv6 address.

    Click Next.

  4. Click Finish to save the changes.
