Enabling SSH Access to Webspace
By default, SSH access to all automatically provisioned Webspaces is disabled.
To enable SSH access to a Webspace, perform these steps:
- Go to Websites. Click on the required website name in the list. Website dashboard opens. At the dashboard opened click Web Hosting Settings.
- On the General tab, click Edit.
-
In the SSH Access Configuration area, select the Enable SSH-connections to this webspace checkbox. All fields in the area will become active.
If the SSH Access Configuration area is missing from the General tab, this means that SSH access is not allowed in the terms of your subscription.
-
In the provided fields, specify the SSH access credentials (login and password).
Specify a unique login. If the login is not unique, CloudBlue Commerce displays an error message and on-screen hints suggesting possible logins.
If you want system to generate a strong password, click Generate.
-
Click Submit.
On the General tab, the SSH access status is turned to On. The SSH Access Configuration area shows the SSH access details: the server IP address by which the Webspace is accessible, login and password. One can access the Webspace after the SSH service status turns to In Sync.
Note: In case a subscription is locked, SSH access to all its webspaces will be disabled.
To enable SSH access to other Webspaces in your subscription, select the desired Webspace and repeat the procedure above. The number of Webspaces you can allow SSH access to may be limited in your subscription; in this case, the SSH Access Configuration area will be missing in the settings of subsequent Webspaces.
For newly created domains with Apache web hosting (those created on new Webspaces), you can enable SSH access during the domain creation following Steps 3-5 of the procedure above.
