In some cases, you may need to reinstall Plesk. The examples of such cases are:
- You have reinstalled the Virtuozzo Container containing Plesk
- You encounter some unknown issues with your Plesk installation
After reinstallation, to facilitate Plesk initial setup you may use automated initialization that will do the following:
- Configure access keys.
- Perform initial setup.
- Register IP-address in pool.
- Create default account.
- Customize Plesk UI.
- Set up access control.
- Configure Plesk Notifications.
- Register domain.
- Set offline service for Virtuozzo container.
- Configure zones for your domain.
Note: Automated initialization only helps to set up Plesk after re-installation, but it does not repair broken Plesk.
To reinitialize Plesk, perform these steps:
- Go to Plesk.
- Click Reinitialize.
- Wait till the Plesk status becomes Ready.
Note: If the VPS status is Not Ready, the Reinitialize button is hidden.
