Configuring the Retention Period for Deleted Data

For audit purposes, CloudBlue Commerce stores necessary information about some of the deleted objects in special tables for a certain period of time. Among the stored data there can be user personal data. This is effective only for the objects deleted using general mechanisms of CloudBlue Commerce, not for the users and accounts erased using the GDPR application.

You can set the amount of the time to keep such data using the CloudBlue Commerce system properties. The default period is 360 months.

  1. To change the retention period for the deleted data, do the following:
  2. Log in to Operations control panel.
  3. Go to System > Settings.
  4. Click System Properties in the Core group.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Specify for how many months to keep the data of the deleted objects in the following fields:
    • Keep information about company accounts during this number of months
    • Keep information about domains during this number of months
    • Keep the personal information of users during this number of months
  7. Click Submit to apply the changes. The updated retention policy will affect both already deleted objects and the ones you will delete in the future.
