Site Application Requirements

APS site application has a set of requirements, which describe what conditions should be met to provision, manage, and use the APS site application in CloudBlue Commerce. The requirements usually request particular resource to be allocated, or specific configuration to be performed.

Note: CloudBlue Commerce supports ionCubeLoader for Apache web servers.

Typically, the site application requires the following resources to be prepared:

  • Web server. To obtain instructions how to deploy a web server, refer to the WebHosting Linux guide >> Deploying Apache Web Hosting section.
  • Database server. To obtain instructions how to deploy a database server, refer to the WebHosting Linux guide >> Deploying Linux-based Database Hosting section.
  • Scripting engine and a set of modules/extensions installed for particular scripting engine. The site application can require the particular configuration of scripting engine. To obtain instructions how to install scripting engine on web server, refer to the WebHosting Linux guide >> Deploying Apache Web Hosting section.

Notes:

1. APS site application can require a non-standard extension/module to be installed on web server. It should be done manually, according to module’s/extension’s instructions.

2. If some Apache extensions (such as Apache modules, PHP5 extensions, etc.) have been installed on the Apache host manually (that is, bypassing CloudBlue Commerce), it is necessary to submit these new settings to CloudBlue Commerce. Refer to the WebHosting Linux guide >> Shared Apache Web Hosting > Configuring WebHosting Linux > Submitting Information about Manually Installed Apache Extensions to CloudBlue Commerce section to obtain the instruction on how to perform this operation.

It is recommended, prior to the site application provisioning on customers’ webspaces, to check that all requirements of the site application are satisfied. Also, we recommend that you check that the site application can be provisioned and is working properly with the help of Hosting CP. The link to Hosting CP is available in the top frame of PCP.

To view the requirements of the site application, perform the following actions:

  1. Go to Services > Web Hosting > Web Applications > Vault.
  2. Select an application.
  3. On the Versions tab, click the application’s version, then go to the Requirements tab.

Note: If the site application requirements for Perl-based applications are not available on the version requirements screen, refer to the application vendor/packager web site.
