To make order processing faster you can remove old or unnecessary orders from the list. Billing allows archiving orders. Archived orders are removed from the list of orders. If order is archived, it can not be restored, but you can view the list of archived orders and order details.
Order can be archived if all its provisioning items are in the same status – New, Completed or Failed. If order provisioning items are in different statuses, order will not be archived. For example, order has two provisioning items: the first one is in Failed status, the second is in Completed status, in this case order can not be archived.
When order is archived:
- Order payments are detached.
- Detached payments in Hold status and without e-transactions are deleted.
- Detached payments applied to invoice or debit memo are left as is.
- If order status has Is Final check box clear, balance of released but not applied payments is increased by archived order amount. In other case, balance of released but not applied payments is left as is.
- Order details and logs are archived.
- Order subscriptions are detached.
- Subscriptions in New and Failed statuses are archived.
- Subscriptions in other status are left as is.
- If the processed order was a change order that had not been provisioned yet, the resources reserved inside the subscription will be released.
- If a new resource was ordered, it will be deleted from the subscription.
- If an amount of an existing resource was ordered, it will be reset.
To archive order(s):
- Open Operations > Orders. The list of customers' orders appears on the screen.
- Mark orders you want to archive by selecting respective check boxes.
- Click Archive to send selected orders to archive.
To archive old orders without orders selection, click Bulk Archive. Billing will archive orders, using the following criteria:
- Order life time is more then value set for the Orders Archive Interval parameter.
- Order status has the Is Final check box selected.
