A key number issued by CloudBlue Commerce Key Administrator has an expiration date and an update date. The period between these two dates is usually 10 days. Once the update date is passed, a license renewal may be requested from CloudBlue Commerce Key Administrator. If the license is in good standing, CloudBlue Commerce Key Administrator will renew the license and return a new key file with a new expiration date. Billing updates the license key number and dates, then passes new key to Operations for installation.
Billing performs automatical license renewal if it meets the following requirements:
- The Is Automatically Renewed option of the respective license class is turned on;
- The license is in Installed status;
- The license update date is passed.
Scheduled Billing event (Renew All Expired Licenses) checks installed licenses update date once a day. If a license meets described requirements, Billing connects to CloudBlue Commerce Key Administrator and requests the license renewal.
Manual renewal for installed licenses is implemented as well.
To manually renew a license:
- Open Services > Licenses. The list of all licenses is displayed.
- Select a license by clicking on respective link in the License ID or Key Number column. The license details appear on the screen.
- Click Renew License to start license renewal.
