Installing AD Password Change Filter (Optional)

The special components called Password Filter and Password Change Listener securely deliver password change requests to CloudBlue Commerce to ensure a unified sign-in experience. This is an optional feature. If it is not required, you should not install the AD Password Change Filter component. During the initial synchronization, the passwords for new users are auto-generated. After that, when a user changes a password in an external AD, it is passed to CloudBlue Commerce by the AD Password Change Filter component.

To install the AD password change filter agent on a Domain Controller, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the Domain Controller (you should be a member of the Domain Administrators group).
2. Run the ADPasswordChangeFilter.exe file.
3. Click Next.
4. Specify the NETBIOS name of the server where the synchronization agent is installed and click Next.
5. Click Next to start the installation.
6. After the installation is finished, restart the server.

Repeat steps 1-6 for each Domain Controller of your Active Directory Domain.
