Configuring Resource Scheduling

After the resource mailbox is created, you can configure its scheduling properties. To do this, perform the following operation:

  1. Go to Exchange > More Services > Resource Mailboxes. The list of existing resource mailboxes opens.
  2. Click on the name of the resource mailbox, which properties you wish to configure. The mailbox General tab opens.
  3. Move to the Resource Scheduling tab. The resource mailbox scheduling parameters are displayed with default values.
  4. To change the default parameters, click Edit.
  5. The following options are available:
    • Maximum number of days to book in advance. Use this field to specify the number of days that the room or equipment can be booked in advance. For example, if the booking window is set for 90 days and a request is received for scheduling the resource 4 months from today's date, the request is rejected.
    • Maximum duration in minutes. Use this box to specify the maximum number of minutes that the resource can be scheduled for.
    • Allow recurring meetings. Select this check box to allow recurring meetings to be scheduled.
    • Enable response details. Select this check box to include the reasons for accepting or declining a meeting in the response email message.
    • Delete subject. Select this check box to remove the subject of all incoming requests.
    • Add organizer to subject. Select this check box to specify whether the resource requestor's name is added to the subject of the request.
    • Delete attachments. Select this check box to remove attachments from all incoming requests.
    • Delete comments. Select this check box to remove comments from all incoming requests.
    • Delete non-calendar items. Select this check box to remove non-calendar items from all incoming requests.
  6. Click Submit to save the new parameters.
