Managing Email Aliases
Note: This functionality is not available if there are no domains with Hosted Exchange in your subscription.
You can create one or more email addresses having different mail names that would point to the same mailbox. This functionality enables you to appear to have an address on one domain, yet the mail will be forwarded on to your real mail account.
To create an email alias:
- Open the Mailboxes screen.
- Click the Display name of the required mailbox.
- Open the Emails addresses tab. This page displays all the Email addresses for a given mailbox.
- Click on the Add New Email address button. The screen for adding new email address will open.
Note: Depending on your subscription, the drop-down menu may contain the domain names belonging to your provider (they are not displayed in the list of domains at the Website Hosting > Websites page). It means that the provider made these domains available for Email addresses creation for all the subscribers. You can select such a domain, but mind that the desired mail name can be already occupied by another subscriber or by the provider.
- Type in the name of the email address that would become an alias for the given mailbox.
- Click on the Submit button to save the new email.
