By using the permission mechanism, introduced by Microsoft Exchange Server, you can control access to public folders. You can grant a set of permissions to an Exchange mail item (mailbox and distribution list) to define the actions this item can perform with the public folder.
Note: Permissions that are set to public folders will not be applied to child public folders.
