SSL Certificates

Manual actions for erasure of personal information from an SSL certificate are required only if all of the following applies:

  • The account owns an SSL certificate.
  • A staff member of that account requested to be forgotten.
  • The email address of that staff member was used for creating the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) for that certificate.

In this case, the email address of the staff member cannot be deleted by means of GDPR application. You need to specify another email address and re-issue the certificate. For this purpose, do the following:

  1. Notify the account owner about the necessity to re-issue the certificate in order to comply with GDPR.
  2. Ask the account owner which email address to use for the new certificate.
  3. In the CloudBlue Commerce control panel, click My Profile and click SSL Certificates.
  4. Click Create Certificate Signing Request.
  5. Fill out the form, specifying the email address received from the account owner and click Next.
  6. Click the Download link next to the Certificate signing request field.
  7. Switch to Billing and go to Operations > Subscriptions.
  8. Locate the subscription with the SSL certificate you wish to re-issue and click its ID.
  9. Open the Service Properties tab and click Edit.
  10. Replace the Certificate Signing Request with the one you retrieved in step 6.
  11. Save the changes.
  12. Switch to General tab and click Renew Subscription.

The certificate with updated email address will be issued within that subscription.
