Configuring SMTP Settings for Notifications

To configure an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server to control notification sending, do the following:

1. Go to System > Settings > SMTP Settings in the System Notifications group.
2. Specify the following SMTP server connection parameters:
   • The host name of the server that will send notifications,
   • A user name and password to be used to connect with,

   • A secured connection by selecting the SSL check box.

     Important: To use the secured connection, make sure the trusted certificate (not self-signed) is installed on the server and the SMTPS on the 465 port is configured.

3. Click Submit.
