Updating a Linux-based Hardware Node

To keep Linux infrastructure secure it is necessary to keep the installed OSes up-to-date.

Important: Make sure that the yum package is installed, and the repositories to get OS updates from are configured properly.

To install OS updates on Linux-based hardware nodes:

  1. Go to Infrastructure > Service Nodes.
  2. Mark hosts which are to be updated. Skip this step if you want to update all Linux-based hosts registered in CloudBlue Commerce.
  3. Click Update OS.
  4. Select the Command to execute from the drop-down list.
  5. Click Update.

A single task per host will be scheduled after this. Wait until all the tasks are successfully completed.

Note: Update of Virtuozzo hardware nodes is not supported. Tasks to update such nodes will be scheduled but will not be successfully performed.
