Step 4. Enabling Trial Websites

If you want to enable customers to try website hosting services for free, do the following:

Step 1. Add a domain registration plan for free subdomains on a provider's domain:

1. In Provider Panel, go to Services > Domain Registrars > TLDs tab > Add New TLD.
2. In the Domain Zone field, type the name of the domain under which you want to host customers' free domains as subdomains. For example, provider.tld.
3. In the Domain Registrar menu, select Dummy. Click Submit.
4. Go to Services > Domains and click the domain name that you added in step 2.
5. Click Edit, select the check box labeled Allow parent and child domains, and click Submit.
6. Switch to the Billing panel: click the Billing link in the top-right area of the screen.
7. Go to Products > Service Plans > Add New Service Plan.
8. Select Domain Registration Service Plan and click Next.
9. Under TLDs, Available menu, select the domain name that you added in step 2, and click >>.
10. Under Subscription periods, select 1 year and click Next.
11. Under Set Prices, leave the "0.00" values in all fields. Click Next.
12. In the Plan Category menu, select Domains.
13. In the Service Terms menu, select Domain Service Terms. Click Next.
14. Under Inclusion into Sales Categories, select the check box next to the Domains sales category. Click Next.
15. Click Finish.
16. Go to Products > Online Store, and click Synchronize Now.

Step 2. Choose the hosting service plan on which you want to create trial hosting subscriptions for customers, and add a trial subscription period.

For example, let's set up one of the preset hosting service plans called Medium WebHosting Plesk Linux:

1. In Provider Panel, switch to the Billing panel: click the Billing link in the top-right area of the screen.
2. Go to Products > Service Plans.
3. Click the plan name that you want to configure. In our example, we will select Medium WebHosting Plesk Linux.
4. Click the Subscription Periods tab.
5. Click Add New Subscription Period.
6. In the Period Duration box, type the number of days that trial subscriptions will be active. For example, 30.
7. Select the Trial check box.
8. Click Finish.

Now prospective customers visiting your Online Store can sign up to your hosting services and set up trial websites.
