Restricting Log in to the CloudBlue Commerce CP by Client IP Address
CloudBlue Commerce allows you to control the IP addresses and the networks from which logging in to the CloudBlue Commerce CP is allowed. This functionality works for provider, reseller, and customer accounts and affects the account’s staff members and account’s service users.
You can create a list of trusted networks for an account. An entry in this list contains the following information:
- IP address
- Netmask
When the account’s staff member or the account’s service user tries to log in to the CloudBlue Commerce CP from a workstation, CloudBlue Commerce checks whether access from the workstation’s IP address is allowed or not. During the check-up, CloudBlue Commerce determines:
- Whether the entry is defined with the exact IP address of the workstation.
- Whether the entry is defined where the IP address of the workstation corresponds to the trusted network.
If CloudBlue Commerce cannot find the appropriate entry for the IP address of the workstation, the user will not be allowed to enter the system.
Note: If the account’s list of trusted networks is empty, login to the CP is allowed from any IP address or network under the credentials of the account’s staff member or the account’s service user. If any hosts or networks are specified, then only these locations are allowed.
