ISO codes are used in Billing for countries definition:
- Two-letter country code according to ISO 3166. For details, see over Internet, for example at ISO web page.
- Three digit country code according to ISO 3166. Digital country codes are suitable for countries where non-Latin scripts are used.
To add country:
- Open System > Settings > Internationalization > Countries submenu of the Navigation tree. The list of countries available appears on the screen.
- Click Add New Country. Fill the form:
- Type unique two-character ISO country code of the country in the Country Code field.
- Type country full name in the Country Name field.
- Click
next to the Country Union field. From the window that opens, select country union the country belongs to. If country does not belong to any country union, leave the field blank. - You can optionally enter a regular expression for zip code validation into the Regular expression for zip code field.
- Enter the ISO 3166 3-digit numeric country code into the ISO 3166 Code field.
- Type an integer in the Sort No field. The field displays the sort number of the country in the lists where a user selects their country. These lists have two identical sets of countries that differ by ordering. The first one (above '---' element) is ordered by the Sort No parameter. The second one (below '---' element) lists all countries in alphabetical order. Changing the Sort No parameter affects only the first list. The empty Sort No parameter means that 0 is set. So, setting this parameter to 10 will put country at the bottom of the first list, while -10 will put it to the top.
- Check the country phone code in the Default Phone Code field. This code will pre-fill the Country Code field when customers register and select this country. If this field is empty, country phone code will not be pre-filled.
- Sometimes it is not necessary to enter area phone code. To make it possible for customers to hide the area phone code field when registering in store, clear the Phone Area code is necessary box. If you want this field be always shown, select this check box.
- Click Save to finish adding country.
