Adding a Tax Zone

Tax Zone is a country, state, or province where the Tax is charged. Tax zone will be automatically assigned to the residents of that state or province. Tax zone is a geographical region where a group of sales taxes is applicable.

To add a tax zone:

  1. In Billing control panel, go to System > Settings > Taxation > Tax Zones and Tax Categories > Tax Zones tab. The list of tax zones presented in your system appears on the screen (empty by default).
  2. Click Add New Tax Zone. The adding new tax zone dialog window is displayed. Fill out the form:
    • Input a tax zone name as it will be referred to in Billing into the Tax Zone ID field.
    • Input a free-form description of the zone into the Description field.
    • Select the Requires Account Verification option to verify the customer account.
  3. Click Save to finish adding a new tax zone.
