For a customer to get a promotion bonuses it is necessary to place an order between the promotion start and end date. The actual order of promotion application depends on the type of operation a promotion is applicable to:
- Sales orders (the Applicable To Sales option). Prices are taken from the promotion. Promo prices are applied both to setup and recurring fees. In this case, promo price is applied right away and further to all recurring orders issued during promoted subscription period. Promotion duration period is not checked.
- Renewal orders (the Applicable To Renewal option). Prices are taken from a service plan for the first subscription period. However, if a customer places renewal order during a period specified in the Applicable Period fields, promo prices are applied to renewal order for the next subscription period. Thus, in this case, duration period is checked.
- Upgrade/downgrade orders (the Applicable to Switch Plan option). For sales order prices are taken from a service plan. Then, if a customer upgrades his/her subscription during a period specified in the Applicable Period fields, promo prices are applied to upgrade order.
