Configuring Custom Account ID
One of the examples how you can use custom attributes is configuring Custom Account ID scenario.
Why Custom Account ID is needed
Resellers usually use 3rd-party Account Management systems, thus do not host their customer base in CloudBlue Commerce.
To preserve consistency between two account management systems (3rd-party and CloudBlue Commerce), CloudBlue Commerce introduces the Custom Account ID field, where you can save a Customer ID of an account in the 3rd-party system. Thus, the customer account will be linked by the Custom Account ID field.
