Configuring Limit Notification

Under configuring of limit notification it is considered adding notification details to it. You are not able to use a limit notification until at least one notification detail is created for it.

To add a limit notification detail:

  1. Open System > Settings > Notifications > Limit Notifications. The list of already created limit notifications appears on the screen.
  2. Select a limit notification by clicking the respective link in the Limit Name column. Selected limit notification properties appear on the screen.
  3. Switch to the Notification Details tab. The list of currently available notification details appears on the screen.
  4. Click Add New Limit Notification Detail. The adding new limit notification detail dialog window is displayed. Fill out the form:

    • Type a resource usage percent to trigger notification into the Limit Pct field. When the actual resource usage exceeds this percent, the alert message based on a notification template is sent to a customer.
    • Select how often the notification is to be sent to the customer under the Send Frequency group. The following options are available:
      • Once – the notification is sent once per billing period as long as the limit percent is exceeded (the next billing period the notification will be sent again even if the usage does not change: the usage limit still remains exceeded);
      • Daily – the notification is sent regularly until resource usage drops down below the limit percent. The resource usage percent may drop in case the customer purchases an additional amount of the resource.
    • Click the icon next to the Template for notification field. From the window that opens, select the notification template to use for messages.
    • Select the Active check box to make the detail applicable for notifications. While the detail remains inactive, messages are not sent.
  5. Click Save to finish the limit notification detail addition.

Add more details to the limit notification if necessary (for example, the same limit notification can be used for sending messages to the customer when the resource usage reaches 75%, 90%, 100%).
