Configuring Mutually Exclusive Service Offerings Through Unique Groups

Note: This functionality applies only to End-Customer and Reseller Marketplaces. To ensure mutual exclusiveness of several offerings in the PCP, RCP, CCP and UX1 control panels, configure mutual exclusiveness of some of the resources included in the corresponding service plans. For more information, please see Configuring Resource Dependencies > choose Dependence Kind = Conflicts on Account level.

If you want your customers to be able to choose only one offering from several options in the same sales order, you can make several service offerings mutually exclusive. In this case, customers who purchase one of the offerings cannot purchase another one. You can ensure this by creating a unique group of mutually exclusive service plans.

Example: You offer a standard, an advanced, and a premium package of some services. Customers usually choose only one of them. However, to avoid a potential confusion, you want your customers to be able to choose only one of them. To ensure this, you create a unique group of mutually exclusive standard, advanced, and premium service plans.

To create a unique group:

  1. Go to System > Settings and click Unique Groups in the Products section.
  2. Click Add New Unique Group. Complete the fields. Save the changes.

To add several service plans to a unique group to make them mutually exclusive:

  1. Click the necessary unique group in the list. Switch to the Service Plans tab.
  2. Click Add Service Plan. Select the necessary service plans. Click Add Plan(s) To Unique Group.
