Configuring both ASCII and non ASCII Input Fields for Contacts

The ASCII fields for customer contact information are added by means of customer attributes. Such customer attributes are to be added exactly with pre-defined IDs and types specified in the instruction below. The respective fields position in account or user registration form is also important.

Having been added (and if in the Active state), the attributes initiate additional fields appearance at the user or account details screen. As a result, customers can enter the contact information both in the native language and in Latin letters.

ASCII fields are also shown in PCP when adding a new customer account.

The ASCII fields names are displayed as field name entered for a customer attribute and (ASCII) appended, for example, Address Line 1 (ASCII).

To add ASCII fields for contact information:

  1. Go to System > Settings > Attributes.
  2. Click Add New Attribute. The adding new customer attribute form is displayed.
  3. Add all the attributes mentioned below, one-by-one, each table contains configuration for one customer attribute.
