Creating Domain Service Plan

Generally, creating domain service plan is the same as creating any other service plan, but it has some peculiarities:

  1. You need to create separate service terms for domain service plans according to registrar policy. For example, registrar allows to renew existing domain registration within a month after it expires. Service terms grace and hold periods total duration should not exceed 30 days and service should be destroyed after hold periods ends.
  2. There is no need to set notification templates for domain service plans. Notifications on domain registration and transfer are pre-configured and send from order flow. If you set notification template, customer gets both notifications.
  3. Domain registration periods for a domain service plan are compared with the ones configured per domain zone. If some periods are not available for a zone, then it is not possible to add them to respective service plan.
