Creating a Plan Category

You can group your service plans into several plan categories. This will help you to do the following tasks more efficiently:

  • Manage your sales taxes. Service plans that will be taxed in the same way can be put in the same plan category.

  • Group your service plans by service type or another criteria for convenience. For example: domains.

To create a plan category:

  1. Go to Products > Service Plans and select the Plan Categories tab.

  2. Click Add New Plan Category. Complete the form:
    • Category Name: Type a new plan category name.

    • Description: Type a description of the plan category.

    • Tax Category (optional): Click next to the field. Select a tax category from the window that opens. Service plans included in this plan category will be taxed according to the rules of this tax category.

  3. Press Save to complete the creation of a plan category.
