Destroying Service After Hold Period
To enable destruction of a subscription data not immediately, but after a delay, configure the following settings:
- Set up the following details of the service plan the subscriptions to which you want to be destroyed after a hold period:
- In the control panel, go to Products > Service Plans. The list of existing service plans is displayed.
- Click the name of the necessary service plan. The service plan General details are displayed.
- In the Service Template field, click the name (or the identifier) of the service template that is assigned to the chosen service plan. The service template General details are displayed.
- Click Edit and disable the Destroy Service on Cancel option: leave the corresponding checkbox blank to do it.
- Click Update. The Destroy Service on Cancel option is set to No.
- Set up the following details of the service terms assigned to the chosen service plan:
- In the control panel, go to Products > Service Plans. The list of existing service plans is displayed.
- Click the name of the service plan. The service plan General details are displayed.
- In the Service Terms field, click the name of the service terms that are assigned to the chosen service plan. The service terms General details are displayed.
- Click Edit and edit the following fields:
- Subscription Hold Period (days) – Specify the needed time period during which a subscription to the specified service plan is hold.
- Destroy Service after Hold Period – Tick this checkbox to enable the option.
- Click Save. The Destroy Service after Hold Period is set to the Yes value.
The data of a subscription associated with the specified service plan will be held in the database for the period of time specified in the Subscription Hold Period (days) field and then, after this period ends, will be destroyed. The license relating to this subscription will be terminated, the billing will be stopped.
