- Whether setup fee is charged both when the resource is added to a subscription and when the number of already purchased resource units is increased or decreased, or increasing/decreasing of already purchased resource units is free.
- Possible upgrades to or from a resource and upgrade fee.
- Set limit notification, which is sent when resource usage reaches a certain percent of the purchased quantity.

- Whether resource overuse is controlled by external system or Billing.
- Descriptions of resource and resource price are displayed in the End-Customer and Reseller Marketplace.
- Resource sort number among others of the service plan in the End-Customer and Reseller Marketplace.
Note: it is possible to edit all resource rate fees at once. To this effect, select a resource as this described below, switch to the Resource Rate Periods tab and click Mass Edit.
To configure resource rate in a service plan:
- Open the Products > Service Plans sub-menu of the Navigation tree. The list of service plans available appears on the screen.
- Select a service plan you want to configure resource rates for by clicking on the respective link in the Name column. Selected service plan properties appear on the screen.
- Switch to the Resource Rates tab. The list of resource rates set (if any) appears on the screen.
- Select a resource rate you want to configure. The resource rate properties appear on the screen.
- Click Edit. The editing resource rate dialog window is displayed.
- Select the Show in store check box to make resource visible in End-Customer and Reseller Marketplace. Such resources can be purchased as additional.
Select the Show in CP check box to make the resource visible in CCP. Such resources can be purchased as additional in CCP.
Note: keep in mind that in order to the resource is displayed in the CCP and marketplace it also must be added to the appropriate resource category. See the Adding Resource section.
- Select the Available for Sale checkbox to make the resource available for sale.
- Select the Measurable check box to make resource overuse allowed. If the check box is cleared, resource overuse is not allowed and setting overuse fee does not take effect. For physical resources, it is recommended selecting the check box.
- In the Setup block:
- If necessary, type new setup fee in the Fee field.
- Type setup fee description in the Description field. As Billing supports different locales, you can offer the fee description displayed in the End-Customer and Reseller Marketplace and control panel in customer's language. To do that, specify the fee description in multiple languages in the respective fields. For the information how to enable multiple languages in Billing, refer to the Activating a Language section.
Define whether the resources ordered above the service plan with zero billable amount should be included into the order and shown in the Order Details table. Select the Show Zero Price check box, to add such orders. Note that the option does not affect the resources that were added to the service plan on the basis of the Included Amount option. Such resource orders are never shown in the Order Details table.
Note: the zero line is included in the order when the resource/service quantity is non-zero but its price is zero (due to discount, promotion and so on).
- Define how the setup fee is to be charged. Select the Charge per unit check box in order for resulting setup fee to be calculated as follows: (resulting setup fee) = (included units) * (setup fee). Leave the Charge per unit check box cleared in order for resulting setup fee to be equal to setup fee set. Overused resources are always charged per unit.
- Define whether the setup fee is charged both when the resource is added to a subscription and when the number of already purchased resource units is increased or decreased by selecting the Charge for Upgrade check box.
- In the Recurring block:
- If necessary, type new recurring fee in the Fee field.
- Type new recurring fee description in the Description field.
Define whether the fee line is included in an order even if billable amount is zero by selecting the Show Zero Price check box.
Note: the zero line is included in the order when the resource/service quantity is non-zero but its price is zero (due to discount, promotion and so on).
- Define whether fee is charged per each unit in excess of included units or for all excess units by selecting the Charge per unit check box.
- In the Overuse block:
- If necessary, type new overuse fee in the Fee field.
- Type new overuse fee description in the Description field.
Define whether the fee line is included in an order even if billable amount is zero by selecting the Show Zero Price check box.
Note: the zero line is included in the order when the resource/service quantity is non-zero but its price is zero (due to discount, promotion and so on).
- Select notification, which is sent when resource usage reaches a certain percent of the purchased quantity, from the Limit Notification list.
- In the Units block:
If necessary, change included units amount in the Included Units field.
Note: In CloudBlue Commerce, a resource maximum limit should not exceed 2147483648.
- If necessary, change the maximum and minimum amounts of resource units that can be purchased under this service plan in the Max Units and the Min Units fields respectively.
For resources that are not unlimited, Display Type can be set. Display type defines how the resource is displayed to a customer in CCP:
- Default: this type is displayed as a spinner, checkbox or a radio button depending on min, max, and resource category's display type.
- Slider : resource selection is performed by moving a slider. Sliders are useful for resources that may typically have large limits (like disk space, RAM, etc.).
- Define whether resource overuse is controlled by External System or Billing Manager by selecting respective option in the Controlled by group.
- In the Store block:
- Type resource description to be shown in the End-Customer and Reseller Marketplace in the Store Description field.
Type resource price description to be shown in the End-Customer and Reseller Marketplace in the Store Price Text field.
Note: as Billing supports different locales, you may login to Billing selecting needed language. Then enter resource rate and type resource descriptions under selected language. These descriptions will be displayed under particular locale language. This way you may set descriptions for different control panel languages.
- Type resource sort number among others of the service plan in the End-Customer and Reseller Marketplace in the Sort Order field.
- Click Save to confirm changes.
Limit notifications for purchased resources are sent only if all conditions listed below are true:
- the limit notification is attached to the resource rate in plan;
- the resource usage has exceeded the purchased resource amount in the subscription.
Limit notification not only warns about possible billing charges, but about subscription service stopping as well (for resources with Controlled By parameter set to Billing).
Hence, the only configuration for which a Limit Notification does not make sense is a non-measurable resource with the Controlled by parameter set to External System.
