Loading Private Key

Having been loaded, private key is stored in Billing memory. Billing restart drops private key. Thus, private key must be stored in secure storage out of Billing.

Private key can be pasted into a screen form or loaded directly from a file.

Encryption cannot be enabled without private password entered. Private key password can be entered at the same time with key loading. If private key password is owned by another user, load private key without password. Password owner will log in to Billing and enter password.

Warning: Loading a private key using Internet Explorer in Compatibility mode may lead to key drop. Disable IE Compatibility mode before loading the key.

To load private key:

  1. Open System > Settings > Encryption Keys. Information about encryption keys is displayed.
  2. Click Load Private Key. Fill the form, paste private key text or load it from file:
    • Key text can be pasted into the Private Key field. After this, click Save Private Key.
    • To load private key from file, click Load from Local Disk. Click Browse next to the File with a Private Key field and locate the file. On this stage you can also enter private key password into the Password field. When ready, click Load Private Key.

When private key is uploaded and password entered, encryption is enabled. It is possible to start saving credit cards and bank accounts data in Billing.
