Step 5. Service Plans

Here you see existing service plans that were created based on the service templates selected at the previous step. You can edit existing service plans or create new ones.

If a service plan is new, it is marked in the New column. If a service plan is updated, it is marked in the Updated column.

Adding a New Service Plan

To create a new service plan:

  1. Click New Service Plan. Depending on whether you chose a provider-level service template, a reseller-level service template, or a combination of provider-level and reseller-level service templates at Step 4. Service Templates of these instructions, the wizard will follow one of the following configuration scenarios:
    • If you chose a provider-level service template, the wizard will follow the scenario for provider-level service templates:
      • An additional Provider section will be displayed above the Resellers section for you to configure the new service plan at the provider level.
      • The provider-level configuration in the Provider section will be delegated to all the chosen resellers.
      • For each of the chosen resellers, you can customize Plan Category, Terms & Conditions, and STs for Delegation.
    • If you chose a reseller-level service template or a combination of provider-level and reseller-level service templates, the wizard will follow the scenario for reseller-level service templates:
      • The Provider section will not be displayed.
      • Instead, the provider and all chosen reseller configurations will be mutually independent and listed under + Resellers.
  2. (Relevant only if you are creating and delegating to resellers a service plan based on a provider-level service template) In the Provider section, complete the fields:
    • Required:
      • Plan Category: Choose from the available provider-level plan categories.
    • Optional:
      • Sales Category: Complete with a provider-level sales category. To add several sales categories, use the add (+) button.
      • Service Terms: Choose from the available provider-level service terms.
      • Provisioning Notifications: Choose from the available provider-level options.
      • STs for Delegation:
        • To delegate the service plan to resellers with a particular reseller service template, complete Service templates for delegation: Choose the necessary reseller template from the drop-down list. To add several reseller templates, use the add (+) control.

Note: At the next step, when selecting resellers to whom you will delegate the service plan, you will see only resellers with the reseller service templates chosen at this step.

        • To delegate the service plan to individual resellers of your choice (regardless of their reseller service template), go to the next step. After you choose resellers, the STs for Delegation field will be completed automatically with the respective reseller service templates and will become non-editable.
  3. In the Resellers section, click + Resellers. Choose resellers who will get the new service plan. Click Select.
  4. (Relevant only if you are creating and delegating to resellers a service plan based on a provider-level service template) Per chosen reseller, customize the delegated provider-level service plan by completing the fields:
    • Required:
      • Plan Category: Choose a reseller-level plan category.
    • Optional:
      • Terms & Conditions: Choose a reseller-level Terms & Conditions option.
      • STs for Delegation: Complete as described above with a lower-level reseller service template.
  5. (Relevant only if you are creating and delegating to resellers a service plan based on a reseller-level service template) In the Resellers section, configure the service plan for all the selected resellers (and the provider, if selected) in one of the following ways:
    • For every reseller (and provider, if selected) in the list, complete the following fields by choosing values from the drop-down lists: Service Template, Plan Category, Sales Category, Service Terms, Terms & Conditions, Provisioning Notifications, and STs for Delegation.
    • Complete the fields for all the chosen resellers with the same values:
      1. At the top of the Reseller sections, set up the default configuration: Complete the fields Service Template, Plan Category, Sales Category, Service Terms, Terms & Conditions, Provisioning Notifications, and STs for Delegation with your chosen values.
      2. Apply the default configuration to all the chosen resellers: Click Apply Default Values.

Note: If any of the fields for any of the chosen resellers does not have the default value set above among the possible values of the field, an error message will be displayed.

  6. In the General and Billing Terms section, specify the service plan parameters.
  7. Add subscription periods for the service plan, then define fees and the refund policy.
  8. In the Service Plan Resource Rates section, select the resource rates that you want to include into the service plans. In the list of resource rates, there are only new ones and those shared between the selected service templates.

Note: You can choose only composite resources that are identical to every chosen reseller. Otherwise, such resources are displayed but not available for selection.

Every selected resource rate can be configured by clicking its name, after which you can adjust its name, change its unit of measurement, select a resource category for every reseller, and create a new resource rate period (it will be the same as the subscription period of the service plan). If you want to change the name or unit of measurement, you need to create a composite resource including your currently selected resource. After changing the name of the resource, this resource is displayed with the new name in the list. When ready, click Apply.

When you are finished selecting service plan resource rates, click Add.

Editing a Service Plan

You can update service plans individually by clicking them, or in batches by selecting several plans and clicking Edit Service Plans. When editing in batches, two editing options are available.

  1. If the selected service plans have the same values in both the General and Billing Terms sections, you can:
    • Change their Plan Category and Sales Category.
    • Bind them to different Service Terms and Terms and Conditions.
    • Update Provisioning Notifications.
    • Change the plan names, as well as their descriptions.

Note: If values for any locale are non-identical for different plans, their fields are displayed as empty. If you type any value in such fields, the value will be propagated to all plans. If you leave the fields empty, they will stay as is.

    • Add and delete resource rates (including resource rates based on existing composite resources).
  2. If the selected service plans have different values in either the General or Billing Terms section, you can only update resource rates (including resource rates based on existing composite resources). To update resource rates:
    1. In the Add New Resource Rates section, select the resource rates that will be added to your new service plans. You can also adjust resource parameters by clicking a plan's name.
    2. In the Existing Resource Rates section, you can see and remove the resource rates that are shared between the selected service plans.
    3. When ready, click Save.

Warning: If you open a service plan, go to Edit> Billing Terms, and then you edit the "Set Recurring Prices per" option for a service plan, changes will be propagated only to new subscriptions. Existing subscriptions will not be affected.
To modify the "Set Recurring Prices per" option for existing subscriptions, you need to create a new service plan with the required configuration, then assign it to the existing subscriptions using a change order.

Copying a Service Plan

You can copy service plans of resellers with the assigned custom attribute InitWizardCountryCode = RS. To copy a service plan, complete the following steps:

  1. Select the plan to be copied and click Clone Service Plan. All multilingual names with descriptions will be copied.
  2. In the Resellers section, click Resellers and then select one or more resellers who will get the new service plan (you can only select resellers whose service templates you selected previously at Step 4. Service Templates). When ready, click Select.
  3. In the Resellers section, choose a service template from those that were selected at the previous step, a plan category, a sales category, service terms, terms and conditions, provisioning notifications and a service template based on the Reseller Gate through which the created plans will be delegated to resellers. Do this for every reseller in the list.

You can make use this ability to set up default values for all objects for all selected resellers. To do this, select default values in the topmost pane, then click Apply Default Values.

Note: If any resellers do not have objects with selected names, an error message is displayed.

  4. In the General and Billing Terms section, specify the service plan parameters.
  5. Add subscription periods for the service plan, then define fees and the refund policy.
  6. In the Service Plan Resource Rates section, select the resource rates that you want to include in the service plans. In the list of resource rates, there are only new service plans and plans shared between the selected templates.

    Notes:
    1. If you copy the service plan with resource rates for resources that are absent from the selected resellers, you need to add these resources to the corresponding service templates of these resellers: a reseller branding template and a template on which the new plan is created.
    2. You can only choose from composite resources that are identical to every chosen reseller. Other resources are displayed but not available for selection.

You can configure any selected resource rate by clicking its name. You can adjust its name, change its unit of measurement, select a resource category for every reseller, and create a new resource rate period (it will be the same as the subscription period of the service plan). If you want to change the name or unit of measurement, you need to create a composite resource including your currently selected resource. After changing the name of the resource, this resource is displayed with the new name in the list. When ready, click Apply.

When you are finished selecting service plan resource rates, click Add.
