Resolving Credit Card Capture Transaction Failure

There are two ways of charging payment cards in Billing:

  • To pre-authorize and capture money in one transaction (transaction type "Sell").
  • To pre-authorize and capture money in two separate transactions (transactions type "Auth" and "Capture" respectively).

If the order flow is configured to charge a payment card in two transactions, the following situation is possible. After successful pre-authorization, a request to capture the money sent. The payment gateway captures the money and returns confirmation to Billing. Billing may not receive confirmation due to communication error. In this case you need to charge credit card manually.

To charge a payment card manually:

  1. Open the list of e-transactions.
  2. Use search to find e-transactions with the following parameters:
    • Type = Capture
    • Result = Communication Error.
  3. Open such e-transactions one by one and click Charge Credit Card.
