For the BIND DNS service, prepare virtual or physical servers that meet the following hardware requirements:

60,000 DNS zones and 300,000 DNS resource records per server

Quantity

A minimum of 2 DNS servers is required.

Important:

1. We recommend that you place your DNS servers on different networks.

2. Some top-level domain (TLD) zones may have specific network requirements for DNS servers. For example, in the .DE and .FR TLD zones, DNS servers must be placed on different networks. We recommend taking this into account when preparing your servers.
