Features

• CBPFR-1059 Exchange Rate Provider is now the single source of exchange rates for price calculation in Price Manager. The component supports rates that are defined manually, rates that are received from the Open Exchange Rates plugin, and rates that are received from a custom plugin built with the Exchange Rates SDK. Rates that come from a plugin are synchronized into the component on a schedule that you define as daily, weekly, or monthly.

  In addition to a general rate that applies to every product, you can now define a conditional rate that applies to a specific product only. When a rate is requested, the component looks for a conditional rate that matches the request, then for a general rate at the same account, and then repeats the search at the parent account.

  The exchange rate screen moved from the Account section to the Portfolio section and is now called Exchange rates. The list of rates shows the source of each rate and can be filtered by the vendor currency and by the sales currency. Two privileges control access to the screen: one for viewing rates and one for managing them.

  Notes: 
  - The screen is displayed only if the Exchange rates application is installed from CloudBlue Store. Only a tenant can install this application.
  - Exchange rates can be defined at the tenant level only. If a price book is assigned to child accounts of a tenant, the rates of the tenant account are used when prices are calculated.
  - General rates from different sources overwrite each other. If a manual rate and a plugin rate are defined for the same pair of currencies, the rate that was entered last is used, regardless of its source.

This is the first release of the component that brings support for multi-currency in CloudBlue Commerce, including:

• Support for multiple sales currencies for an account and the ability to manage those currencies;

• The ability to set up exchange rates between the account currencies and get these rates using UI and API;

• The ability to get exchange rate updates from exchange rate plugins.

• UI and the API for managing currencies and exchange rate plugins.

Note: PostgreSQL 13 can be used for the database of this component.
