Domains

Personal data of a staff member may be stored in Billing as additional information for a domain. You need to take the actions described in this article if all of the following apply:

  • A staff member falls under GDPR.
  • The staff member requested to erase their data.
  • The staff member's personal data is stored as additional information for a domain registered in CloudBlue Commerce.

The general mechanism of personal data erasure in CloudBlue Commerce does not apply to the additional information for a domain, but such information must be erased according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

To ensure that the staff member's personal data is stored in the system as additional fields of a domain, do the following:

  1. In Billing PCP, go to Services > Domains.
  2. Use the filter to find the domains that belong to the account of the member who requested erasure of their data.
  3. Open the Additional Information tab of each domain from the list to find out if it contains any personal data of the staff member.
  4. Remember the domain name and the names of the fields where the personal data is stored.

Using the remembered domain name and the name of the fields, erase the personal data of the staff member by following the instructions in this KB article.

Note: If the user's personal information has been passed to a domain registrar, it also must be erased from that registrar's system.
