Changing Reseller Credit Limit

When a reseller's customers purchase services, the reseller's available balance is decreased. When the available balance amount is not enough to proceed with sales, the reseller needs to top up their balance. To prevent suspension of the reseller's sales, you can set a credit limit. It increases the reseller available balance and allows them to proceed with sales without paying in advance. A credit limit can be inherited from credit terms assigned to the customer class the reseller belongs to, or can be changed individually.

Note: A credit limit is used as is for VAR resellers. For customers and resellers acting as customers, please refer to Notes on Credit Limit.

To change the reseller credit limit:

  1. Go to Operations > Resellers.
  2. Select the reseller for whom you want to change the credit limit by clicking on the respective link in the Account ID or in the Account Name column. Properties of the selected reseller account appear on the screen.

  4. In the Financial Information section, select Customized for Account for the Credit Limit Source option. The Customized Credit Limit parameter becomes available for editing.
  5. Type the sum that you want to allocate to a reseller as a credit in the Customized Credit Limit field.
  6. Click Save to confirm changes.
