Preparing a Dedicated Node with Storage for Log Files

In your Kubernetes cluster, prepare a dedicated node that will be used for storing log files:

  • Ensure that this node has enough resources for a Fluentd instance.

  • Ensure that this node has enough disk space for storing log files. We recommend that you use a partition on a dedicated disk attached to the node.

  • Add a special label to this node to indicate that it is intended for storing log files:

    kubectl label nodes NODE_NAME purpose=infrastructure
