Adding New PTR Record

You are able to create PTR records within the reverse DNS zone using PCP.

A PTR record maps an IP address to the host name. Creating the PTR record for a host name that corresponds to an IP address enables reverse DNS management for that IP address.

To add new PTR record, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Services > Domains and open the DNS tab.
  2. Open the Reverse DNS Zones subtab and select the reverse DNS zone name you want to configure the PTR record for.
  3. Click Add new PTR record.
  4. Associate an IP address with the hostname by entering their values in the respective fields.
  5. Click Submit. The PTR record for a given reverse DNS zone is created.
