Creating a Notification Message
To add a notification, follow these steps:
- Go to System > Announcements > Notifications in the Announcements group.
- Click Add New Message.
- Select the hosts containing services about which you wish to issue notifications. Click Next.
- Select the service templates containing services about which you wish to issue notifications. Click Next.
- Select a rule to be applied. Specify whether a notification will be sent to customers which:
Have services on hosts OR are subscribed to service templates
or
Have services on hosts AND are subscribed to service templates

Fill out the following fields:
- Subject: Type the news heading as it will be displayed in the subscribers' user interface.
- Summary: Type the brief outline of the message that will be displayed in the subscribers' user interface right under the news heading.
- Message text: Enter the news message body.
- Demonstration period: Select the Date range option to set the news message display period and choose the start and end dates in the corresponding menus. If you want the news message to be displayed only once or on each user's login, with no display period limitation, select Always.

In the Localization area of the screen, all languages registered in CloudBlue Commerce are displayed. For languages you wish to localize the message into, leave the check boxes selected. For languages you do not wish to localize the message into, clear the check boxes.
Localization is performed manually; you must translate the message subject, summary and text and type them in the corresponding fields yourself. Non-localized messages are displayed in the language they are created in.
Note: If there is only one default language registered in CloudBlue Commerce, the Localization area is missing from the screen.

Click Submit to finish the notification creation. You see the Submit button on this screen if there is only one localization language in CloudBlue Commerce. All further steps are skipped.
or
Click Next to proceed to the localization screen. You see the Next button on this screen if you have more than one localization language in CloudBlue Commerce.
- Translate the message subject, summary and text into the localization language (the first of the selected ones). Type the translations into the corresponding fields on the screen.
- Click Next.
- Translate the message into all other selected languages in turn. After filling the fields, click Next.

Review the message parameters and click Finish. For languages you have localized the message into, the Localized status is Yes. For unused languages, the status is No.
The news list reopens with the newly created notification in it.
If your customers' or resellers' services are provided on the specified hosts or are based on the specified service templates, after logging in to CloudBlue Commerce they will see the notification on the first page.
For each notification, Subject and Summary are displayed. Users can open the full text by clicking on the Read More link.
