Enabling and Disabling PTR Records within a Reverse DNS Zone

CloudBlue Commerce allows you to enable or disable automatically or manually created PTR records within the system. A disabled of PTR record is removed from the name server and does not work, but it is still saved in the system and can be enabled.

To enable or disable a PTR record, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Services > Domains and switch to the DNS tab.
  2. Open the Reverse DNS Zones subtab and click the name of the reverse DNS zone you want to enable or disable a PTR record in.
  3. Select the check box near the ID column of the respective PTR record in the table and click Disable or Enable located above the table.
  4. Confirm enabling or disabling the PTR record by clicking OK in the message box. The PTR record is subsequently disabled or enabled.
