External DNS Hosting
It is possible to create DNS zones and DNS records in these zones without physical synchronization with DNS servers performed by CloudBlue Commerce. Physical synchronization with DNS servers is performed by an external system. In CloudBlue Commerce, this is called external DNS hosting.
DNS zones and their DNS records are stored in the system database, but CloudBlue Commerce does not physically create them on DNS servers. An external system retrieves DNS zones and DNS records from the system database and creates them on its own DNS servers.
To set up CloudBlue Commerce for external DNS hosting, perform the instructions in the sections that follow.
