Managing Shared Secret

When a shared secret is specified, staff members of direct child customer accounts can log in to the control panel using a login name and the specified shared secret.

To specify a shared secret, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to System > Settings > Security in the Core group > Setup tab.
  2. Click the Authorized Networks subtab.
  3. In the Shared secret area, click Set New Secret.
  4. Enter the value of a shared secret in the Password field then click Submit.

When a shared secret is undefined, the shared secret login method is disabled for staff members of direct child customer accounts.

To remove the existing shared secret, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to System > Settings > Security in the Core group > Setup tab.
  2. Open the Authorized Networks tab.
  3. In the Shared secret area, click Delete Secret.
