<COMPANY> Encryption Key Custodianship Form
Encryption key custodians are those persons who are responsible for managing, handling, and protecting access to <COMPANY>'s encryption Keys. Custodians are responsible for the confidentiality and integrity of key components in their custody. In particular, the custodian is responsible for:
- Implementing all encryption key controls as specified by <COMPANY> and documented in information security policies and procedures.
- Providing safeguards for encryption keys during generation, loading, and storage.
- Administering access to the encryption keys and making provisions for timely detection, reporting, and analysis of unauthorized attempts to gain access to the encryption keys.
- Controlling access and secrecy of the combination of the safe containing the clear-text encryption keys.
- Completing the Encryption Key Management Log for any activity involving cryptographic keys.
- Participating in encryption key generation, distribution, change, and destruction processes.
