Managing Fulfillment Parameters for Internally Fulfilled Products

Note: For PLM terminology, refer to the Glossary.

In PLM, fulfillment parameters are parameters that define how PLM fulfills subscription-related actions.

For products imported from an external fulfillment system, fulfillment parameters are filled out automatically. To specify fulfillment parameters for products fulfilled internally, complete the following steps:

  1. In UX1 for Providers, go to Portfolio.

  2. In the Product lines tab, select the required product line.

  3. In the product line card, click Manage and specify the following operations to be fulfilled automatically (Instant), manually (Manual), or through URL requests (URL):

    Important:
    • You must set up the provisioning service using these instructions to use URL requests.
    • When using a URL, you must also provide the base URL in the respective field. A suffix required to this base URL for each operation will be added by PLM automatically.
    • Use URL requests if you already have a service integration. If you integrate a service for the first time, we recommend that you use Connect.

    • Subscription creation,

    • Subscription stopping,

    • Subscription starting,

    • Subscription renewal,

    • Subscription limit change,

    • Subscription removal.

For example, the manual fulfillment type may require you to:

  • Adjust settings in an external system during subscription creation,

  • Release a subscription from hold, or

  • Change a subscription limit.

Parameters

Product line also has the parameter section, so you can specify the following parameters to be filled for products fulfilled internally:

  • Parameters filled in by customers on order placement,

  • Parameters filled in by the vendor,

  • Parameters filled in by resellers on order placement.

Order Fulfillment

In the Order fulfillment section, you can access all orders placed for products fulfilled internally. Here, you can find the following information:

  • Operation type

  • Fulfillment type

  • Account

  • Date and time

  • Status

  • Subscription

  • Service to which an operation is related.

To manually fulfill orders for products, complete the following steps:

  1. In the UX1 for Providers, go to Order fulfillment.

  2. Select the required order and click Fulfill or Cancel request.
