Creating Service Plans

This section explains how to create Azure service plans.

Important: All the values listed in this topic are not examples. The configuration must be done exactly as described.

Creating the "Azure" Service Plan

To create the "Azure" service plan, perform the following actions:

  1. Go to Billing > Products > Resources, select the Total Cost of Azure Services resource and set the following values:
    • Additive: Yes
    • Measurable: Yes
  2. Go to Billing > Products > Service Plans and create a service plan with the following settings:
    • Service Plan Type: Generic Service Plan
    • Service Template: Azure
    • Plan Category: IaaS
    • Service Terms: Azure
    • Published: Yes (select the checkbox)
    • Billing Model: Charge After Billing Period
    • Billing Period: Monthly
    • Set Recurring Prices per: Month
    • Align Billing Order with Statement Day: No (clear the checkbox)
    • Autorenewal: Before Expiration, Renew Point (days): 1. Be sure to set the renewal period to the same number of days as in the notification schedule for subscription expiration. Otherwise, your customers might receive subscription expiration notifications.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the checkbox next to Subscription period: 1 month.
  5. Click Set Up Plan Rates.
  6. Select the checkbox next to Total Cost of Azure Services and specify the following settings for the Total Cost of Azure Services resource:
    • Max. Units: -1
    • Inc. Units: 0
    • Recurring Fee: 0
    • Overuse Fee: 0.01
    • Measurable: Yes
    • Show in Store: No
    • Show in CP: No
  7. Click Finish.
  8. Now you are in the list of service plans. Click the link with the Azure plan name.
  9. Click the Azure link in the Service Template field.
  10. Go to the Service Parameters tab.
  11. In the list of parameters, select the checkbox next to the DomainID parameter and click Delete.
  12. Switch to Operations, go to Products > Service Templates, click the Azure service template link. Click Edit.
  13. In the Collect resources usage after subscription cancellation (days) field: set 5. To make sure that usage reports for the canceled subscriptions are accurate and up-to-date, we recommend that you set this setting to at least 5 days.   14. Click Submit.

Creating the "Azure Reseller" Service Plan

To create the "Azure Reseller" service plan, perform the following actions:

  1. Go to Billing > Products > Service Plans and create a service plan with the following settings:
    • Service Plan Type: Generic Service Plan
    • Service Template: Azure Reseller
    • Plan Category: IaaS
    • Service Terms: Default
    • Published: Yes (select the checkbox)
    • Billing Model: Charge After Billing Period
    • Billing Period: Monthly
    • Set Recurring Prices per: Month
    • Autorenewal: Before Expiration, Renew Point (days): 1
  2. Click Next.
  3. Select the checkbox next to Subscription period: 1 month. Click Next.
  4. Click Set Up Plan Rates.
  5. Select the checkbox next to Reseller Total Cost of Azure Services and specify the following settings for the Reseller Total Cost of Azure Services resource:
    • Max. Units: -1
    • Inc. Units: 0
    • Recurring Fee: 0
    • Overuse Fee: 0.01.
    • Measurable: Yes.
    • Show in Store: No
    • Show in CP: No
  6. Click Finish.

Creating the "Azure Customer Resources" Service Plan

To create the 'Azure Customer Resources' service plan, perform the following actions:

  1. Go to Billing > Products > Service Plans and create a service plan with the following settings:
    • Service Plan Type: Generic Service Plan
    • Service Template: Azure Customer Resources
    • Plan Category: IaaS
    • Service Terms: Default
    • Published: Yes (select the checkbox)
    • Billing Model: Charge After Billing Period
    • Billing Period: Monthly
    • Set Recurring Prices per: Month
    • Autorenewal: Before Expiration, Renew Point (days): 1
    • Subscription period: 1 month
