Customizing Plesk via Partner Central

Partner Central (formerly Odin Key Administrator) is Plesk licensing system. It provides a new user interface for buying, tracking and managing Plesk licenses. To log in to Partner Central, go to https://central.plesk.com. Partner Central allows you to manage Plesk licenses, to view statistics on active licenses for Plesk, and also to configure multiple Plesk instances in one operation.

Plesk configuration in Partner Central is not the same as Plesk configuration in Odin Automation.

Plesk configuration in Partner Central (hereinafter Product configuration) specifies the parameters of Plesk, but not the set of its components. For example, it defines Plesk server settings like:

  • Automatic updates,
  • Interface views and language settings,
  • Links to external services to Plesk users who see these links in Plesk,
  • Promotion banners displayed in Plesk UI,
  • Notifications to Plesk customers.

Plesk configuration in Odin Automation is a template which defines the Plesk version, edition, a set of Plesk components to install, and specifies the operations that a customer can perform with Plesk in Odin Automation customer CP.

To customize Plesk via Partner Central:

  1. Log in to Partner Central using your partner account.
  2. Create Plesk configuration in Partner Central and give it a descriptive name. To learn more about creating Product configurations, refer to the Partner Central User Guide >> Configuring Multiple Plesk Installations > Product Configurations section.
  3. In OA Operations PCP, go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Plesk in VPS > Plesk Configurations. Click the name of the required Plesk configuration. In the Product Configurations in Partner Central group, select the Use one of Plesk Configurations defined in Partner Central option. If integration with Partner Central is configured, a list with Product configurations will appear. If not, then you need to configure Partner Central integration.
  4. Select a particular Product configuration from the drop-down list to associate Plesk configuration in Odin Automation with Product configuration in Partner Central.

Now the selected Product configuration customization from Partner Central is applied to the respective Plesk instances.
