About Cloud Infrastructure Automation
Cloud Infrastructure Automation is a complete solution for delivering Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Cloud Infrastructure Automation is deployed as a service module of CloudBlue Commerce and allows service providers to deliver virtual servers with fully integrated virtualization solutions Virtuozzo or OpenVZ, automation, billing, customer self-service capability, and the online store.
A typical Cloud Infrastructure configuration includes the following components:
- Instance Manager (IM). The core component of Cloud Infrastructure Automation that orchestrates communications between CloudBlue Commerce and virtualization nodes.
- Instance Manager database (IM DB). The database that stores Instance Manager data.
- CI Endpoint node. Node where the Cloud Infrastructure Automation APS backend is hosted.
- Virtualization nodes (compute nodes). Hardware nodes that host virtual servers: virtual machines (Linux and Windows) and containers (Linux). The virtualization nodes should have Virtuozzo or OpenVZ 7 software installed.
- Backup nodes. Hardware nodes that are used to store backups and images of the virtual servers, running on the virtualization nodes. The backup nodes should have Virtuozzo software installed.
