Configuring CS Hosting Service Plan

By creating a service plan you set prices for each of the resources included in the underlying service template. For example, you can choose to charge $10 for creating a virtual environment, which can be either a container or a virtual machine, or you can set a fixed fee of $5 for each IP address.

To create a new CS Hosting service plan:

  1. In Billing control panel, go to Products > Service Plans > Service Templates tab, and open the service template you created earlier using Operations control panel.
  2. On the template properties page, go to the Plans tab and click Add New Service Plan.
  3. Provide a descriptive name for your service plan, select the plan category you created from the Plan Category menu, and specify the billing information and other details required for the service plan.

Note: Make sure that the Billing Period is set to Monthly otherwise the Estimated Prices (Including Taxes) for CS resources will be shown incorrectly in UX1 for Customers. For example, even if a customer selects not a monthly billing period, the price will be shown for a month.

    When ready, click Next.

  4. Select the desired subscription periods, specify prices and click Next.
  5. Specify the setup, recurring, renewal, and other fees for the subscription period and set up a non-refundable amount if needed. When ready, click Setup Plan Rates.

If you want the resource fees to be displayed at any time, even when equal to zero, select the Show Zero Price option next to each of the fees.

  6. In the next step, select the CS Hosting resources you want to include in the service plan, set Inc. Units to 0 for all the resources except CS Inbound traffic and CS Outbound traffic, and set the fees in the Overuse Fee column.

Important: Resource rates for all billable resources (listed in the table below) must be added to the service plan, otherwise the wizard in UX1 for Customers will not be working properly.

Define Measurable parameter for the resources. Measurable parameter is used to make resource overuse allowed. If the checkbox is cleared, resource overuse is not allowed and setting overuse fee does not take effect. For physical resources, it is recommended selecting the checkbox.

Select Show in CP for all CS Hosting resource rates.

  7. Click Finish to save the service plan.

When setting up resource rates, you can use the following table for reference:

* The quantity of resource becomes unlimited when set to -1.

CS Virtual Environment Backup Limit and CS Virtual Environment Image Limit resource rates can be added to a service plan if you want to charge for backup/image instances and limit the number of backups/images.

Important: Be aware that the limits for CS Public IPv4 Address and CS Public IPv6 Address should not be set to Unlimited otherwise managing IP addresses functionality in UX1 for Customers will not properly work.

You can find the newly created CS Hosting service plan on the Products > Service Plans page.
