Introduction

VPS Hosting is a turnkey solution (based on APS 2 technology) allowing providers to easily launch VPS Hosting services and offer both containers and virtual machines bundled with or without Plesk control panel. VPS Hosting currently supports Plesk control panel 12.5 (Carbon), 17.0 (Onyx), 17.5, and 17.8. VPS Hosting supports Virtuozzo (6.0 and 7.0) and OpenVZ virtualization technologies. The solution is integrated with the customer control panel which represents extended user experience and provides intuitive interface.

VPS Hosting introduces ready-to-use templates and service plans which facilitate the product configuration and allow to sell VPSs out of the box.

VPS Hosting provides the following functionality for providers:

  • VPS provisioning: containers (Linux) and virtual machines (Linux and Windows)
  • Selling VPS bundled with Plesk or without Plesk
  • Configuring virtual server templates to define operating systems, virtualization technology (containers/virtual machines or both), applications to be installed in a VPS, type of storage (local/cloud)
  • Configuring UI policy, defining which actions the customers can perform on their VPSs in the CCP v1 (currently not supported in UX1 for Customers)
  • Configuring location, defining geographic location of the node where the VPS is provisioned
  • Configuring backup schedules for automatic creation of backups
  • VPS provisioning on specific nodes by means of provisioning attributes
  • VPS fine-tuning via pre- and post-installation scripts
  • Configuring default firewall rules for VPS
  • Configuring upsell scenarios allowing customers to change server configuration
  • Configuring upgrade scenarios allowing customers to switch between service plans depending on the needs
  • Configuring VPS notifications about critical issues (VPS creation failure, VPS backup failure, VPS restoration from backup failure, VPS recreation failure)
  • Plesk in VPS, including support for:

    • Plesk 12.5 (Carbon), 17.0 (Onyx), 17.5, and 17.8
    • Automatic Plesk licensing via Plesk Partner Central
    • Configuring DNS zone synchronization between Plesk and CloudBlue Commerce NS servers
    • Automatic installation of Plesk micro-updates
    • Synchronizing Plesk instances with Plesk configuration changes

  • Assign/release public IP addresses
  • Manage VPS hostname and bind to domain
  • Access and manage VPS via HTML5 web console
  • View VPS Activity Log showing history of operations with VPS
  • Install Plesk in VPS
  • Basic operations with Plesk (like start, stop and so on)
  • Change Plesk administrator’s password
  • Manage DNS zone synchronization between Plesk and CloudBlue Commerce NS servers
