Troubleshooting

If you are trying to offload a hardware node by moving some of its servers to another hardware node available in the system, and the migration of some servers fails because no suitable node is found, you can find out the reason using the event log.

To learn why the migration failed:

  1. Go to Services > Cloud Infrastructure > Cloud InfrastructureLog.
  2. Click the event description that contains the phrase: "Cannot find suitable hardware node"
  3. You will see the server properties and a list of nodes where this server could not be saved because of the resource shortage. Those resources are marked with red exclamation marks.

You should increase the marked resources on the target hardware node before you can migrate the server to that node.
